Door blocker for cats
thingiverse
My mischievous cats have mastered the art of slamming doors on themselves, typically at the ungodly hour of 3am, and then proceeding to create a ruckus to inform me that they're stuck in the bathroom. This calls for some creative problem-solving - I've come up with a solution to prevent them from closing the door enough to latch it. To achieve this, I've designed blockers that can be easily installed on both right- and left-handed doors. These clever contraptions attach securely to the doors using 3M command strips, but you can also opt for two-sided tape if you prefer. A crucial aspect of these blockers is proper spacing. If the end of the latch is not positioned correctly, it may cause a pivot moment that can dislodge the attachment from the door frame. To avoid this issue, make sure to space the blocker carefully - a few pictures will help illustrate the correct placement for a hassle-free installation.
