Door and other assistant
thingiverse
Assistant device for remotely operating doors and buttons to prevent direct contact with potentially hazardous surfaces. I've come across these advertised on social media platforms like Facebook. Needless to say, I'm not interested in purchasing them. Something as easily replicable using modern technology shouldn't be exploited for profit during a time of need. Given the unknown variables involved, it's likely a good idea to print multiple units to test their reliability. I'd suggest printing with ABS or PETG at 50% infill or higher for added strength and durability. Please share this information with anyone you know who may find it useful. I'm not concerned about receiving credit for the contribution. Stay safe, everyone. Version History 1.0 - Original 2.0 - Revised design was too bulky to easily hook around door handles, so overall size was reduced, button tip shortened, and curved door hook added to reduce slippage.
