Doomguy - Posable Arms
thingiverse
I'm printing currently, and may update once the print is complete. Doomguy collectible from Doom 2016 is a project I've been working on. I sliced the model and added simple joints to the arms, which hopefully work. UPDATE: I learned a lot from this experience and will need to make some improvements, but it worked. Things I still need to do: Scale it up - the joints don't work well at this small size, and there's plenty of detail in the original model that deserves more prominence. Add relief slots to the male side of the joints - this is a necessary step for proper assembly. Clean up the body of the model - some slices show up in the print that I didn't expect to be visible. Mirror it: somewhere along the way, the model got reversed, probably when I took it into MeshMagic to smooth it out. As a result, the arms are on the wrong sides in this model. Fix the area around the arm (left in this version) - this is necessary for more free movement.
