Doombot of DOOM!
thingiverse
Currently under development and custom-made, I have initiated a project inspired by Ultimaker-style bots with a cubic volume of one meter. This bot is designed to print chairs! To assemble it, each corner is printed on my Makerbot, followed by the insertion of 4x2 steel tubing at every corner. Cross bracing with threaded rods ensures structural integrity. The head utilizes 16mm ground shafts as guides and houses two LLU10's for smooth movement. It can accommodate up to four heads but weight reduction is crucial due to flexing caused by the 10mm shafting. A unique feature of this bot is its platform, which consists of ball screws on opposite corners and linear bearings on the others. Powering each axis will be Nema23's at 48V with Gecko Drivers, while a Makerbot Motherboard will control these, reusing the extruder controller for the head. Stay tuned for shared files once they are ready!
With this file you will be able to print Doombot of DOOM! with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Doombot of DOOM!.
