DOOM Armor Praetor Suit Helmet
thingiverse
The Helmet for a Doom (2016) Praetor Suit. Scaled up for a 60cm hat size, but an extra bit shouldn't be a problem. I'm uploading the full model and parts I used to print mine (bed size 200x200x250). Parts 3, 4, 5, and 6 are one side of the helmet, so you'll need to mirror them for the other side. I encountered some errors, but they sliced just fine. I used ABS, which was then welded together and smoothed using Acetone. Finer details were carved in afterwards. The visor file is used to shape a piece of acrylic glass (2mm). Just clamp the form in a vice and heat the acrylic in an oven. When the glass becomes soft, take it out and press it onto the form. Unfortunately, the visor's curved surface makes it difficult to use mirror foil, so the photo with the reflecting visor uses a simplified version with some gaps. If someone knows a way to coat such a curved form with mirror finish, please drop me a line.
