Donnie the Turtle
thingiverse
This is my sculpt I call Donnie the Turtle. It's printable in both FDM and resin printers and I include two versions of the model as well as a 100 mm base that has my signature on it. If you don't want to use that base any appropriately sized base will do. As shipped, the model is scaled to be about 135 mm tall and fit nicely into a 100 mm base. If you wish to print Donnie's body all in one shot, you need to print the following two files: Turtle_All-In-One_Final_V2.stl and Staff_One-Piece.stl. If you have a smaller build volume such as a resin printer or if you want to maximize quality, you may wish to print the split version which has to be assembled afterwards: Body_Keyd.stl, Left_Arm_Keyd_V2.stl, Left_Leg_Keyd.stl, Right_Arm_Keyd_V2.stl, Right_Leg_Keyd.stl, Staff_Top.stl, and Staff_Bottom.stl. The included pictures show a keyed set printed in both Elegoo Water Washable Gray and Overture PLA filament. The resin print used 0.05 mm layers and standard exposures on the Mars. The PLA print on my CR-10 used the 'dynamic quality' setting in Cura with too many tweaks to get into here... but nothing different than you should be using on other prints. If you like this print, but you have no way of printing it to the quality you'd like, please consider buying it from my Etsy store: Animal Machine Industries. If you don't see the listing, it means someone bought the previous one and I'm printing a new set before listing it again. Let me know if you like this print! Who knows... maybe he might have some other ninja brothers around... Changelog: * 2020-05-28: updated the all in one body file to be 1/4th the size. This should still print just as well as the 128 MB version, but at an easier size to process in the slicer.
