Donner Party game organizer
thingiverse
An organizer insert for large and small cards used in the Donner Party card game fits perfectly inside the box. Large openings accommodate sleeved cards while adding much-needed stiffness to the box. Print Settings: Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .3mm Infill: 25% Notes: Printing in several pieces is possible, eliminating the need for top or bottom surfaces on intermediate layers. For the perimeter, two layers are sufficient. Two layers of 2D printing are necessary for the bottom piece and top piece, with 25% triangular infill. A snug fit for the game box can be achieved by using 99% infill on X and Y dimensions due to its size (205mm x 130mm). Consider minimal shrinkage materials to avoid corners peeling up. Supports are only needed on the bottom piece for inset holes. The print time is extremely short, so you can start now and it will likely be finished before the sun sets. Post-Printing: Assembly & use: Six 10-24 x 1.25 inch screws and nuts hold the insert together unless printed as a single piece. Heat the nuts to fit into recesses on the bottom layer or ream out holes slightly larger manually. Grid pieces keep cards from spilling when the lid is closed. This organizer can be used for any game with this box size, and if that game doesn't use small cards, the other compartment can hold tokens or dice. Assembled and in the box, it looks great with sleeved cards loaded inside.
