The challenge's simplest solution, inspired by Ruan's Sponge support system, is presented here. Explore the model virtually with a Keyshot VR in your browser. The rubber clamp, fitting bars from 25 to 28mm, features a spring steel backing plate for tension. A Velcro strap can be tightened if needed. No need for complex contraptions; simplicity is key. The "clamp" attaches to the die-cast aluminum base support with two M10 bolts. The base pad is 2.75 inches thick, featuring a soft foam core and protective outer material. Ergonomic in design, the pad and support plate conform to the back and spine. FEA stress testing has been attempted, but complex geometry posed challenges. Cold-forged aluminum may work with minimal flex, while plastic could require increased thickness. Four M10 bolts are recommended for load distribution.
