Donkey Kong Tiles
thingiverse
I grabbed a bunch of sprites from the original game and turned them into custom tiles. Check out the pics - these sprites have the potential to be transformed into stunning lithopanes if you'd like, as I discovered when printing them all and crafting a bespoke package tray for my hot rod. Note that when you try to process these files with Slic3r, Cura or KISSlicer, they'll flag the file as non-manifold and generate wonky gcode - same deal with NetFabb, which tends to drop about half of the pixel shapes. On the other hand, I was able to get Simplify3D to slice these successfully without any issues. Have a look at what it looks like in Blender through this screenshot. If someone has a clever solution for magically converting this shape into something that's suddenly manifold-friendly for everyone else, please feel free to take the lead.
