Donkey Kong (1981) level - with magnets !
myminifactory
We brought a level from the Donkey Kong game to life for a video-game themed exhibition back in 1981. Most of the level pieces - ladders and platforms - are meant to be stuck onto a magnetic panel. Others have a round hole on their backs, where you can insert a 10x3mm round magnet. This way, kids love arranging them just like they want! Each STL needs printing only once, except for two: the double-barrel piece goes at the top and needs to be printed twice. Flames and rolling_barrels can be printed as many times as you wish! Use the game screenshot to learn how to put it all together correctly. A pro tip: Jumpman, Lady, flames, and Donkey Kong are designed so that if you pause the print just right and switch filaments, you'll get a beautiful multicolor print even with a single-head printer. For the magnetic plate, we used a 30x30cm one that cost around 10€ from an office supply store nearby. A black one looks nicer, of course! Have fun building it!
