The locking mechanism is similar to that used in gym weights, featuring a pin to secure the two halves around the barbell and easily remove for separation. A bull's eye spirit level is included to ensure perfect horizontal mounting. The attachment, without bottom padding, weighs 3.667kg. Stress analysis has been conducted on both the base plate (Aluminium 7075-T6) and support stand (Aluminium 6061-T6), with a top holder made of plastic.
