Don't forget your Towel - Kitchen Towel Holder (version B)
thingiverse
This is version B of my "Don't forget your Towel - Kitchen Towel Holder" design, an alternative take on the original model I prefer. You can see the first version here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2882740 There's also a remix called version C that might be even better and doesn't have the twist of this one, although I haven't printed it yet: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2884315 Updated 9-10-2018: I fixed a curve in the original model that made it difficult to print flat. I also added a small hole to help with assembly. This version has similar issues as the previous one, so I'll just copy and paste from the other version with some minor edits: It's frustrating when your kitchen towel keeps flopping on the floor right after you put it over the oven door handle. This problem has been plaguing people for a long time, at least since we started using oven doors with handles. That's why I created the kitchen towel clip (version B). Some notes to keep in mind: * The rubber band can be tricky to install, especially if you don't remove all the supports from the area where it seats after printing. * Thinner rubber bands work better than thicker ones, and using tweezers can make installation much easier. * The included tool can save time and reduce frustration. It also works with my plastic-wrap holder remix, so if you've already printed that, this is the same part. * When assembling this model, it's essential to use a M4x16 or 20mm socket head screw and a M4 locknut. These parts hold everything together, and the socket head screw needs to be low profile since it slides into an enclosed slot. * Assembling this design requires patience, especially if you're used to working with a messy Lego collection. Assembly: I added some pictures of the original model to show how the rubber band attaches. To install it, double the rubber band over and loop one end around one post on the base. Then, loop the two ends one at a time around the post on top. Once you have both parts slid together, install the M4 locknut and M4 socket head screw. The nut goes into the hexagonal hole, and the bolt meets it from the other end. The M4 nut and bolt keep the parts together and prevent them from getting easily separated.
