Dominion Sleeved Card Tray/Holder Snapable and Stackable - Remixed to fit sleeved cards
thingiverse
Popsicle_peon created a fantastic set of holders for Dominion, but I modified my cards to fit by sleeving them with Standard Mayday Sleeves. As my very first 3D printing project, I adjusted the design to print big enough to hold all my cards without any issues. Now I store my base cards and 4 player assembled decks in these holders for super quick setup and takedown of under 2 minutes - not counting kingdom cards. I made these holders specifically for up to 4 players and not 6 like the original design, also adjusted the copper and estate trays to be the right size when playing. So, you need to have your 4 player hands assembled and stored in the kingdom cards trays instead of with the other coppers and estates. For a complete print set: 15 holders for Platinum/Kingdom/Victory cards: 7mm, 2 Holders for Curse and Gold cards: 16.5mm, 2 Holders for Copper and Trash: 17mm, 1 Holder for Silver: 20mm, 1 or 2 bowls for tokens (see below update), 1 or 2 token lids, and 2 card tray Lids. (A third of the way through printing, I added a slight inward curve to the open edges so it's easier to grab the bottom cards, some in the picture have straight edges while others have curved ones.) They stack perfectly with only 1mm difference between two side-by-side stacks, and all big holders stacked with two 7mm holders on top, and the other 13 7mm holders on the other side. I still haven't made the lids totally snug but increased the width by .1mm from what I printed so hopefully they'll be a bit snugger. Have fun playing Dominion! Update: Right after publishing this post, I had an idea to create a connectable bowl for tokens used with some cards. So I modified the original 16mm card tray to make a bowl and then duplicated & enlarged it to connect with the ones I made. A week later, I created a second version with a special lid for holding tokens in the tray when stacked. The bottom 3 files are for people printing the original trays for unsleeved cards. I recommend 200microns for the first version to get a smoother bowl curve and suggest 10% infill, but since I printed with 5% infill, it's okay. When printing, I saw that the outside edge of the bowl had almost no support due to large hexagons, so in the future I'll print with 10% infill for more internal bowl support. For the second version of token bowls, I made a more vertical angle for the side of the bowl, so now 300 Microns should be fine and 5% infill is okay too. Also, coins can come out of version 1 when stacked with other trays even when cards are above them, so I reduced the internal structure height and modified the top to keep tokens in without affecting stack-ability. Have fun fellow Dominion players! Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 300 Microns Infill: 10 - 20%
