Dometic Freezer Door Spring Housings
thingiverse
These dual fuel RV refrigerator freezer door hinge assemblies feature durable spring casings that withstand continuous use. They're designed to keep the freezer door securely shut, but they can eventually break due to excessive spring torsion. The 3D models provided are based on Dometic's original right and left-hand freezer door spring casings, with additional material added for enhanced durability in 3D printed versions. If you're unsure about the assembly or replacement process, searching YouTube for "Dometic freezer door installation" will provide valuable insight. Initial attempts to print these parts using PLA resulted in breakage after just two months due to the spring torsion's wear and tear. However, switching to Taulman Nylon 230 Filament proved successful, as a pair printed with this material has remained functional for over a year and a half in my own Dometic refrigerator. If you find these models useful and want to support further development, consider making a donation via PayPal to help offset filament costs.
