Domelight1
thingiverse
This lamp bears an uncanny resemblance to Twistlamp0, yet I employed a completely novel approach to define its geometry, prompting me to rename it Domelight1. To bring this design to life, I opted for clear PLA, allowing the color-changing LED within to take center stage. The LED is showcased alongside the lamp in the initial photo; searching for "LED puck light" will yield numerous suitable options. This design features a small cutout at its base to accommodate a power cord if you choose a wall-powered LED. The accompanying photos capture the light at various color phases, providing a glimpse into its dynamic nature. To experience the full spectrum of colors in motion, I've included a 42-second video: https://youtu.be/WTtG61yAouQ. Like TwistLamp0, Domelight1 stands quite tall – measuring 304 mm in height – making it a challenging print due to its size. As you approach the topmost area, your printer may struggle with hotend drag, resulting in significant sideways torque. To mitigate this risk, I manually held onto the part for approximately the last 40 mm of printing. My next project will undoubtedly be designed with a more compact footprint.
