Waterproof case to convert a dome camera for indoors to outdoor. Originally made for Tp-Link Tapo WiFi security dome cameras, specifically the C210 The case is comprised of 3 printed parts (base, locking ring, and a O-ring), a glass or acrylic dome and a backplate of roof to attach it to. The base and the ring are made out of PETG and the O'ring is TPU. How it works: The camera is mounted in a base that has 2 holes for M3 screws, they line up exactly for a Tapo C210 dome camera mounting bracket. Using an aluminum or wooden spacer or a 3d printed custom mount allows for any other camera to be compatible with the base. The power cable is run through a small hole on the center of the base and then out through a channel out the top side. To make the enclosure waterproof the flat side of the base needs to be installed against a surface that acts as the roof of the housing. It can be installed directly on the underside of a rooftop or gallery. Alternatively a galvanized steel sheet can be used as the roof which can act as a pole mount (that is the case shown in the pictures). the screws required for mounting the base are M4 The glass dome is attached to the ring using silicone glue or any other waterproof sealant. The locking lugs on the ring engage on the base lugs with a twisting motion allowing the dome to be easily dismounted to be cleaned. between the ring and the base, an O'ring maintains a seal between both surfaces. About the glass dome: I used just a chinise one that is made for placing it over objects to be displayed. The dimensions are 100mm in diameter and 150mm height. Something that has to be taken into consideration is that the diameter may vary a little bit, so the fit with the ring might need to be adjusted as needed. Note about the power cord: For some reason the Tapo Dome cameras don't allow the cable to be routed out the back, and instead have the port fixed on the side. this would cause ant interference with the dome, so I just bought a replacement 90 degree DC power jack to prevent this. Then plugged in the default cable into a female adapter that was toughed on the hole that goes against the backplate.
