I took my first stab at painting a landscape using the soft-selection tool, envisioning a seasonably warm scene sheltered beneath a dome as it drifted through space. My goal was to create an alpine ambiance by incorporating specific types of trees and blooms that are often associated with such environments. The flowers proved particularly challenging to spot.
