<p>As an exercise, I used my phone and COLMAP photogrammetry to scan a sculpture my mom made few years ago. As shown in the attached photograph, the resemblance and the detail level obtained are pretty good!</p><p>Notes:</p><ul><li>the object needs significant enlargement to appear in the slicer</li><li>Check whether the support structure is adequate - I lost the tips of Flipper's flippers.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Notes:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>I learnt how the scanned model is affected by shades and reflections (rather scan outdoors on a cloudy day as Tubers mention, which provides uniform lighting). Easy to fix using Blender or Meshmixer in this particular case.</p><p>The print shows slight horizontal lining, for which the selected print speed (50 mm/s specified in Cura; speed increased to 200% on machine) is likely to blame.
