Dolphin

The Dolphin was crafted with Colorfabb Bronzefill. The model necessitates supports. To circumvent an abundance of sanding, I actually printed the model in two halves and bonded them together seamlessly. In this manner, no supports are required. To create the two halves, I loaded the model into Cura, lowered it beneath the build plate by approximately half, duplicated the model, and rotated it 180 degrees precisely. Following printing and bonding, a significant amount of sanding is necessary to bring out the bronze finish (120, 240, 400, and 600 points, culminating in polishing). The base was printed using Colorfabb NGEN clear for the outer walls, and Colorfabb PLA Ultra Marine Blue for the infill. This can be achieved in Cura by utilizing the infill override setting on the second extruder (i.e., a dual extruder setup is mandatory). I augmented the outer wall thickness to 1.8 mm and retained the top/bottom at 0.8 mm. The result is an azure sea with white foam on its surface. Plate temperature: 60 degrees Celsius Print speed: 60 millimeters per second Nozzle temperature: 200 degrees Celsius for Bronzefill & PLA, 220 degrees Celsius for NGEN clear. The Dolphin and base have been designed using Blender. I am aware that the models still harbor some minor imperfections. Cura encountered no difficulties slicing the input, however.
