This model was created using Tinkercad, an online CAD platform, and can be edited directly here: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/lbcwen9v0np To build this project, follow these steps: First, set up the Printrbot Maker with the XL kit according to the instructions included in the "all" file. If you have a smaller printer, you can also use the individual pieces provided. Print the files at 10% infill, and they should be self-supporting. You will need the following components: * This project printed out * A Holiday Time 2.3" video greeting card (pictures are available for reference) * A smaller speaker than the one provided; an old laptop or small device's speaker will suffice Next, follow these steps: 1. Remove any internal supports from the case and perform necessary clean-up. 2. Carefully remove the Video Greeting Card from its package. Then, assemble the following components: * Solder a new, smaller speaker to the existing speaker wires and slide it into the top of the case near the speaker grill. * Insert the button into the hole from the inside, with the flat spot facing upwards. * Slide the LCD screen into its built-in guides; use hot glue or packing foam if needed for extra security. * Insulate the solder tabs on the back of the battery box using electrical tape. Afterwards, place the battery box into its guides; it's a snug fit that should stay in place. Use hot glue or gently pack in some foam to secure the boards. Lastly: 1. Install either the tall base for TV mode or the flat plate to convert it into a video player. 2. Follow the instructions provided with the Video Greeting Card to install batteries and upload your videos.
