"Dolhareubang" Spinning Top
thingiverse
A massive "Dolhareubang" iron monument stands proudly on the grounds of the Folklore & Natural History Museum in Jeju special self-governing province, South Korea. Reaching an astonishing 22 meters tall and 8 meters wide, this colossal tripod structure dominates the landscape with its imposing presence. Every time I glance at this monumental work of art, my curiosity is piqued by the captivating silhouette that appears as it rotates in the air. To satisfy my fascination, I designed a spinning top replica of this iconic landmark. By printing and assembling the design, you can witness the mesmerizing rotation of the Dolhareubang's silhouette for over 30 seconds. For an even more thrilling experience, attach the tip to the launcher, which can be printed separately, and watch as it spins with incredible precision. With the right printer settings, you can bring this magnificent structure to life in the comfort of your own home.
