I revised my initial prototype after discovering that I had misaligned the machine with the lid, leaving only a millimeter between them and the radial slot. By shifting the slot along the edge of the lid, I was able to widen the margin for error and improve overall functionality. The result is a design that performs just as well as my original concept.
