Aluminium sheet of a Dolce Gusto coffee pod (capsule) can be opened with a paper knife or a kitchen knife, but I prefer not to use them as the sheet is wet inside, yet it's not food. I also don't want to throw away wet and dry wastes (coffee grounds, plastic, aluminium) together. These are the reasons why I designed the pod opener. You can open the pod easily with this gadget and have fun! PLEASE NOTE: In a Dolce Gusto coffee pod, there are inner films (in the middle and at the bottom), so I am going to upgrade this opener by adding a stackable ring(s) to open them as well. In this way, this Thing is still under development. Print Settings Printer: Prenta Duo Rafts: No Supports: No Notes: I guess the fastest setting is enough. Post-Printing Step 1 Print the .stl file. You'll get two parts, i.e. an outer ring with four notches inside of it, and an inner ring. You will also need a cutter and instant glue. Step 2 Snap off the cutter-blade with a built-in snapper, at the butt end of the cutter, or with pliers. You need four small pieces of blade. Part 3 Using your glue, place pieces of blade into notches, but they must be slightly (1-2mm) above the edge, yet below the rim of the ring (for safety's sake), and all in the same direction. Part 4 Glue inside the outer ring and put the inner ring. Wait until the glue is dry, and that's it.
