DOKI Vest version 1
thingiverse
I backed the DOKI Smartwatch for kids on Kickstarter and received mine several months ago. The watch itself is incredibly well-made, visually appealing, and boasts exceptional quality. However, my only issue was the user - my son - who carelessly destroyed it just two days after unwrapping. The watch face suffered a catastrophic smash. DOKI's customer service team stepped in and offered to repair my broken watch at a reasonable price. They managed to fix it successfully, which left me relieved. To prevent further damage to the DOKI Smartwatch, I decided to design a protective vest that would safeguard the watch face from scratches and impacts. The vest can be printed with flexible material such as Ninja Flex or Semi-flex, although Semi-flex might yield better results according to my experimentation. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer Model: Ormerod Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill Percentage: 100% Notes: I recommend printing the vest using a slow print speed, such as 10mm/s, and setting the nozzle temperature to 220 C for optimal results. To achieve a leather-like texture on the front face, you can print it over masking tape. For a glossy finish, try printing directly onto glass or Kapton tape.
