Dogtag Protector

Dogtag Protector

A speedy and effortless proof of concept for a dogtag protector. We utilized inexpensive rubber ones previously to minimize noise and prevent injuries, but they'd usually become brittle, tear, or cut themselves within weeks. I actually wanted to print these with flexible filament, but since I only have PLA available right now, still gave it a try and the result works quite well. **The STL is designed for a 50x28x0.8mm dogtag.** One side is open so you can slide the dogtag in, even if it's PLA. Make sure to print it upright and with supports, Otherwise Slic3r wouldn't create the top layer for me (open for suggestions). I also used a small brim just to be safe. There's no cleanup needed, but based on the actual dogtag size and your printer's accuracy, you might have to increase the opening slightly (it was a very tight fit for me)..
