Dogbone drive shaft RC car
thingiverse
This is a plastic dogbone drive shaft for RC vehicles. Print time 30min. It is designed as a replacement for a broken shaft. Metal tips from broken shaft should be recovered and inserted into the holes in a printed detail. OpenScad file can be modified to print plastic tips instead, but it is not recommended for speedy models due to strength limitations of plastic. STL file is provided for a 65mm (external length) shaft which I was not able to find to buy anywhere. This was successfully tested with my 50km/h RC car. OpenScas is parameterised to model a shaft of any length or width.
