Dog water dispenser

The water bowl measures 100mm in diameter and is crafted from PLA, ensuring it's completely safe for consumption by pets. This design seamlessly fits within my dog's 3-foot cage, which boasts a standard vertical wire spacing of 34mm - a common dimension found in many cages. To achieve optimal results, I recommend incorporating bridging support into the print job and printing at a moderate speed to prevent water from leaking due to poor printing quality. The bowl is designed to accommodate a standard 600ml spring water bottle. Before use, I carefully remove the tiny finger grip lines on the bottle cap by running it through a file. To create a hole in the cap, I first screw it onto the bottle for stability and then drill progressively larger holes (3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm) until I reach the desired size - approximately 12mm - allowing air to bubble into the bottle and facilitate water flow. To utilize this system, I locate a pair of wires with the best fit within my dog's cage, as wire spacing can vary. From inside the cage, I clip the bowl between these wires and fill the bottle with water. Holding my finger over the hole in the cap, I quickly invert the bottle and insert it into the bowl with a clockwise twist, taking care not to spill any water. By employing this design, pet owners can ensure their pets always have access to fresh drinking water - a vital aspect of maintaining their overall health and well-being.
