A travel dog water bowl that securely holds a standard 500ml Poland Spring bottle in place is essential for a pet's hydration on-the-go needs. The bowl clicks into position, thanks to Poland Spring's thoughtful design, which features a dimple at the bottom of their bottles. This project boasts relatively thick side walls, measuring 1cm, rather than the usual 2mm walls I prefer, as I aimed to eliminate sharp edges and create a safer product. The bowl measures 218x95x51.6mm in size, making it a convenient addition to any travel setup. However, one major concern is ensuring that the bowl remains water-tight to prevent leakage. To address this issue, I recommend using more top layers or a finer layer height to create a tighter seal. Alternatively, you could consider omitting the bottom layers, allowing any infiltrating water to escape. Additionally, using food-grade plastic and/or nylon or applying a coating in post-processing can also help achieve a leak-proof design. If I had access to a larger bed area, I would have designed the bowl with a convenient hook for easy hanging and storage.
