I was looking for a DIY clicker for clicker training cats (yes it is possible). Looking for metal to use I decided to use the end caps from a crescent rolls package (see photos). I placed them ridge-side down on the garage floor, placed a cabinet knob on top and hit the knob with a hammer. This dent allows the cap to make a great clicker that rebounds when pressed. You could use any similar object to dent the caps but make sure to use an object that is maybe 1/3 the diameter of the cap. I designed the case in TinkerCad and I will say that after clearing the support material out, it is a little tough to push the cap into the base but once in there it is tight. After removing the raft from the top and some light sanding, the top is also tight but requires no glue. I designed the hole to be for a lanyard but also double as holding the two parts together. On the two I have made, the fit is tight and there is nothing else required to hold them together. Enjoy! Note: The second one I made took a bit of filing/sanding since the lid was a little bent. You may need to do some additional sanding of the inset if there the parts do not fit snug. Update: I just uploaded V2 of the bottom that has a cleaner path for the disc. This should make it easier to insert.
