Dog Collar Tab
thingiverse
The collar tab snapped on the training collar. After attempting to contact the supplier since it was only about 3 months old and getting no replies, I decided to draw one up and print it. I printed it 100% fill, with concentric layers for top and bottom. This keeps the filament going in the direction of stress for the part. I filed off the edges of the existing broken tab, and sanded the surfaces that would be epoxied to the new part. After letting the epoxy cure, I tested it by applying as much stress on the receiver as should be ever applied during normal use, and it is holding well. A 5 cent part fixed a 35 dollar training module. I have uploaded the SolidWorks file for anyone who may need to modify the design for their own application.
