These are "Dog Clamps" that hold down thin material for laser cutting. The peg part is tappered and fits into a 6mm hex hole in the "honeycomb" bed commonly used for laser cutters. (as a side benefit, the Dogs will reform damaged 6mm hex holes in the honeycomb bed)
