Dog Bone with Steel Core

Dog Bone with Steel Core

thingiverse

This is my take on the Dog Bone from the Tarmo 4 project. The original had a stronger middle. I went for flexibility so I included the steel core from a bike braking system. The only downside is that the printing needs rafts and supports. Also, the bike cable needs to be cut with a dremel flush with the plastic. Another thing is that the m3 x 10mm screws need to be also cut to have a thread of 6mm which will tighten on the steel core. The screw holes are also tighter to 3mm instead of the 3.4m in the original design so that they will have threads and be glued in place. The cable is covered in glue and pulled into position from the other end (pushing will not work ;) P.S. You will also find the STEP file attached to this post.
