The new design compensates for the weight issue causing the vent to close. Despite the vent still closing, the mount's face slope ensures a viewable phone angle. The iPhone case is from Thing:4382 (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4382), designed by aylr. I adopted his iPhone Bike Mount for my truck's vent mount. However, my files exclude the case; download aylr's case and print it for use with this vent mount. To assemble, print both cases and follow these instructions: 1) attach 2 legs to the base using M3x12 screws, 2) secure the base to the phone case mount with an M3x12 screw, 3) insert phone into alyr's case, 4) mount the vent mount in the vent, and 5) attach the phone case to the vent mount. For reinforcement, consider an acetone dip before use. If you improve this design, please share it!
