Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler - 5.75' to 6.5" Speaker Adapter

I designed this adapter to fit 6.5 inch focal car speakers into the awkward 5.75 inch mounts that Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep puts in their vehicles, fitting larger speakers into smaller holes by bringing speaker profiles forward. This adapter has been tested and works for back speakers in a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup, but should work for most Chrysler vehicles as well. Depending on screw size, you may need to drill out the holes for the 6.5 inch speaker to a larger size. I also recommend gluing the foam barrier pad to the speaker before mounting. Avoid over-tightening screws or risk stripping plastic; they get tight enough when using a screwdriver instead of a drill. I needed better back speakers, but my options were limited at car toys: use a 5 inch speaker and buy their adapter, or pay them to cut the frame of my truck. I had already bought 6.5 inch focals, so I figured out a way to make something work, and it did!
