Dodge Center Wheel Cap - Durango Dakota Ram
thingiverse
When my 2003 Dodge Durango lost its third OEM wheel cap, I realized it would be a fantastic project to tackle in 3D. The design features a slightly raised ram emblem and is rounded like the original, making it significantly better than the empty hole I had seen everywhere around town. Hopefully, this will also help you out. Print Settings Printer: Anet A6 Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: Fine Infill: 20% Notes: Printing without rafts worked initially, but my final prints required rafts due to the black filament not adhering well to the hot bed. Post-Printing 1. The bottom ring provides stability during printing; once removed, cut the small connection between tabs to allow them to flex when pressed into the wheel opening. 2. I printed in black and painted the raised ram image with metallic paint before clear coating the entire cap and popping it into my truck's wheel. Fit and Function These caps fit my 2003 Dodge Durango perfectly. According to online postings, they should also fit other vehicles like the 1996-2008 Dodge Ram 1500 (verify usage), 1996-2004 Dodge Ram 2500 (verify usage), 1996-2004 Dodge Ram 3500 (verify usage), 1998-2007 Dodge Durango, and 1997-2008 Dodge Dakota (verify usage).
