Dodecahedral Gripper
thingiverse
This is a compact rotary-actuated gripper that folds neatly into a dodecahedron shape.\r\n\r\nPrint out five units each of:\r\n- Middle linkage components\r\n- Mid pentagon parts\r\n- Pentagonal hubcap pieces for the mid section\r\n- Outer linkage pieces\r\n- Outer pentagon components\r\n- Hubcaps for the outer pentagons\r\n\r\nAnd one complete set of all remaining parts. The gear is secured to a micro servo motor that fits snugly into the base unit. Turning the small gear 180 degrees will smoothly transition the gripper from fully open to fully closed.\r\n\r\nAssembly requires M3 screws of varying lengths.\r\n\r\nI haven't tested any of this yet, so I can't confirm its functionality. If you decide to give it a try, please share your results!
