Dodeca Bird House

Dodeca Bird House

thingiverse

This is a geometric birdhouse designed and built using Python with the "solid" library. It automatically generates OpenSCAD files that can be easily converted into STL formats, making customization effortless within the Python code itself. Example STL files are included, perfectly suited for accommodating small birds like sparrows. The birdhouse can be securely attached to a wall using screws or mounted directly onto a branch. To assemble the house, simply glue both parts together using epoxy or opt for 3D printing with a UV printer. It's essential to note that this project utilizes Python as its primary development environment, while OpenSCAD is only required for converting files into STL formats. The generated SCAD files are ready for use without further modification. Future updates will include the addition of a Raspberry Pi camera mount, and I'd appreciate your feedback on whether or not you would like to see this feature implemented in the next version.
