Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver

Hi everyone, I've come up with a replica of the Sonic Screwdriver, and I'm thrilled to report that it (almost) works flawlessly. Check out the Sonic Screwdriver demo video below. The original was used by David Tennant, who portrayed the Tenth Doctor Who from 2005 until 2010. You'll find elaborate instructions on what's needed, how to print, and how to assemble in the pdf manual (check out the "Documents Attached" tab). Since I didn't have silver-colored filament or transparent blue, I had to improvise a bit, as explained in the instructions. You can easily avoid painting and fiddling by simply ordering the right colored PLA. The flashing LEDs were created using a bicycle light. I've included a picture of the version I used; you might need either the 2-battery pack or the 4-battery pack depending on your specific model. I printed the box using ColorFabb Woodfill. Two versions are available for download. I used the 2 mm version in conjunction with a paperclip to create the hinges, but you can also use the three mm version along with a piece of filament to make the hinge. Have fun!
