Doctor Who Snap-Fit Dalek

Doctor Who Snap-Fit Dalek

This Dalek model was inspired by guydebored's designs, and I decided to print a larger version using my TOM 3D printer. To avoid gluing pieces together, I sliced the model and employed pin connectors for seamless assembly. The PLA Cube Gears served as templates for creating pins and sockets, allowing each section to spin. Although the models aren't perfect, they can be printed without issues after running them through NetfabbCloud. Print settings include 5% infill and 2 shells for head and middle parts, 5% infill and 1 shell for the bottom part, 50% infill and 1 shell for weapons with external supports, and 25% infill and 1 shell for pins. While external supports reduce cleanup mess, full supports may be necessary for proper printing. Proper calibration can make support removal easy.
