I felt an inexplicable drive to craft this prop and think it's come out reasonably well. I haven't yet attempted to print it, but I'm already certain that I'll need to split it up so as not to rely on supports. UPDATE 9-30-2018: After finally getting around to splitting the design and successfully printing the scanner, I managed to get everything painted and it's now fully functional.
