The Doctor and his companion Rose Tyler stood on the edge of a desolate wasteland, the ruins of London stretching out before them like a graveyard of steel and stone. "This is it," the Doctor said, his voice barely above a whisper. "This is the end." Rose's eyes scanned the horizon, her heart heavy with a sense of foreboding. "What's going on?" she asked, her voice trembling. The Doctor turned to face her, his eyes locked onto hers with an unnerving intensity.
