Doctor Doom Mask Remix (with Rivet Holes)

thingiverse

This is a remix of 4MULE8's expertly crafted Doctor Doom mask. The only change made was cutting holes through the mask where the rivets were. #### Why Remix? I had no issues with the original mask except for the rivets. While they looked good in terms of placement and size, they didn't quite meet my standards. The problem was that they lacked an underside, making them appear as part of the same material as the rest of the mask - partly due to their design. My solution was to cut holes through the mask where the rivets were, then inserting stationary split-pins through the holes during production. This added finesse and greatly enhanced the look of the finished product. You can see the type of split-pin used in one of the photos above. Due to my print bed's size, I had to print the mask in quarters - thanks to 4MULE8 for providing various print options. This remix includes two of those quarters (top-left and bottom-left), which can be mirrored in your slicer to print all four pieces. Since I only needed the provided pieces, that's what I remixed. #### Print Settings The print settings I used were the ones that worked best for me and are considered reliable based on my experience. However, I did encounter bed adhesion issues with the piece, so a raft is suggested - your results may vary. Please enjoy, and good luck! #### Addendum If anyone can explain why the photos all came out in landscape rather than portrait (their original orientation) and how to fix it, that would be appreciated.
