Okay this was an exercise for me, and since I like to make custom covid masks I thought this would look cool as one, and honestly, I am decently happy with how it turned out. I wanted to remove some of the bulk and printing issues. I tried to be true to the original mask and it's original intent while allowing people to glue filter material into the openings and preserve the riveting around the cheek line for the best effect. Print with supports set at 70 degrees if you want to keep the print time sub 9 hours and easily removed. you can get away without any supports with this it leaves minimal stringing March-04-2021 - Added new smoothed interior versions, (I'm playing around with zbrush and smoothed the inside sharp mouth/nose areas, this also cuts away some overhang issues) What I did. - I cut half the top off - I added loops for elastic to wear it - I added the rivets - I removed the mouth bars - flattened the jaw base for more secure printing - fixed the split on the top of the nose - Smoothed out some of the inside - took out some bulk, not perfect or pretty but should make things more comfortable. - March-04-2021 - Smoothed the interior If you enjoy my prints or remixes please consider becoming a Patron! https://www.patreon.com/rkxdesigns Becoming a patron gets you early access to files and opportunities to get involved with the creative process.
