Doc Green (Xiaomi M365, Pro and Mijia) E-Scooter Anti Vibration Damper 0.2mm to 2mm

Designed specifically for the Doc Green ESA 5000 (Xiaomi M365 / Pro clone) E-Scooter (periodically sold by Lidl) but potentially compatible with the Xiaomi M365, Pro and Mijia versions too (no guarantees however). These Vibration Dampeners fix the all-too-common issue of shaky handle bars caused by the quick release retention clip wearing and becoming loose over time.

I designed these, having taken inspiration from RRacers Xiaomi M365 solution (thanks :-), after struggling to find any 3D models that fitted my Doc Green scooter perfectly. The 10 models provided here offer a range of thicknesses of 0.2mm, 0.4mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm, 1mm, 1.2mm, 1.4mm, 1.6mm, 1.8mm and 2mm.

The model is designed to be printed in TPU (flexible filament) and should be installed behind the adjustable bar that serves the handle bar retaining clip (photos supplied). Unlike the majority of purchasable off-the-shelf dampers, that sit on top of the lower steering assembly and are easily lost when the handle bars are folded down, these dampers remain firmly in place and won't fall out unexpectedly.

=====

If you like this model please click the 'Like' button.

Also I'm super happy to see photo's of people's makes, so please come back and share a picture of your print. :-D

And if you found my design helpful or it saved you some $$$ I'm always grateful for a small donation that will help fuel future designs by way of a cup of coffee. Thank you.

=====

This model is not to be uploaded or sold in any form, or modified, and is intended for personal use only.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

i3 MK3

**Rafts:** No
Supports:

No

**Resolution:** 0.1mm or 0.2mm
Infill:

30%

**Filament:** [ ](http://www.amazon.com/s?url=search-alias&field-keywords=Sunlu+TPU+%28Flex%29&tag=thingiverse09-20)[ Sunlu](https://www.amazon.com/SUNLU-Filament-1-75mm-Printer-Black/dp/B07Q82HVTT?dchild=1&keywords=sunlu&qid=1618263029&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzRURLUURRQjZCS01DJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwODg0OTEzQlVYNklURjVBUFgwJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAzNjgzNDZ&tag=thingiverse09-20) TPU (Flex) Black

Notes:

In my experience supports were not required, but every printer is different so supports can be used if preferred.rnrnI printed using a budget TPU with extruder temp of 215 degrees (225 degrees for first layer) and 30 degrees PET coated heat bed. Whilst flexible filament is recommended I would imagine PLA will work too, but that obviously won't benefit from the same level of flexibility.rnrnIf printing with an infill below 100% (I chose 30%) be sure to set the bottom solid layer height as necessary to ensure the flat lower portion prints in 100% solid layers (before your chosen infill begins to affect the print).

Post-Printing ============= Unless your print settings are dialled in perfectly TPU stringing will likely need a little cleaning up from each printed model.rnrnTo install a Vibration Damper (see included photos), with the E-Scooter handle bars folded down remove the single 4mm Allen/Hex Key Pan-Head Bolt from the front clasp (.1), then swing the adjustable bar down and out of the way (.2). Place the printed Vibration Damper into the resulting cavity/hole (.3) and swing the adjustable bar back into position behind the front clasp before replacing the fixing bolt (.4).

1.

2.

3.

4.

Category: Sport & Outdoors
