Doc Brown's Stopwatch (Back to the Future)

thingiverse

This is an approximation of Doc Brown's iconic Seiko stopwatch from Back to the Future. To recreate its look exactly as seen in the movie, you'll need to add a red LED numeric display. The model is centered around this display, available at Adafruit's website: https://www.adafruit.com/product/878?gclid=Cj0KCQiAnOzSBRDGARIsAL-mUB1lqRRSUu_ytZPW03y0SJTszlAXu6SKTg98t10i1fp1FZiajZujCSoaApTJEALw_wcB. The production team behind the movie went to great lengths to create the original prop by replacing the LCD display in a vintage Seiko with LED digits, making it visible on camera. If you're not aiming for complete authenticity, this is an excellent alternative to sourcing and modifying a valuable vintage stopwatch. There's ample space inside the model for one of the smaller Arduino boards and a battery holder, which can be accessed through a hole on the back plate.
