Dobson 8" horizontal axis rotation system
thingiverse
The set of parts is designed for smooth rotation of the telescope mount on the Dobson mount 8". The design consists of three parts. Three bearing holders (623zz 3x10x4 mm bearings were used, two for each holder) replace standard bearings, they are mounted on the mounting base. A Teflon ring is glued to the upper part, but this is not necessary, you can do it without it, or use another smooth material. The sleeve between the pancakes includes two teflon bearings, one standard and the second I made myself (twice as thick). Along the axis of rotation, the structure is fixed by a bolt M10 with a length of 60-80 mm (60 is enough, 80 for further modifications).
