Doblo Spinny
thingiverse
Create a rotating wonderland using Duplo-compatible bricks and ball-bearing swivels! Build merry-go-rounds, globes, rotating castles, gun turrets or any spinning masterpiece you can imagine. For a perfect fit, purchase a 608 ball-bearing set for around $0.60 on Amazon or other online stores. However, be mindful of the varying tolerances among printers; test your printer's capabilities with the bearing_test part before proceeding. Once you have confirmed a satisfactory fit, print out a bottom and top piece to press-fit the ball-bearing into place. The openSCAD file allows for customization in terms of fitting and design choices, such as adjusting B608_play_outside and B608_play_inside for a looser or tighter fit on the bearing, selecting top_colrow for rows and columns of nubs on top, and choosing between top_wheel (cutting a circle) or leaving it square. Don't forget to experiment with latchdistance{in,out} for an optimal balance between part breaking and slipping bearings. Happy creating!
