DNM USD-8 Fork Fender Mount
thingiverse
This mount empowers riders to swiftly attach a front fender directly to the DNM fork with ease. To utilize this mount effectively, forks must feature 109mm of space between their stanchions. Six millimeter nuts and bolts are required; alternatively, zip ties can serve as a makeshift substitute in emergency situations. One notable benefit of this mount is its versatility - it can be installed anywhere along the stanchion tubes, allowing riders to attach accessories like lights even if they choose not to use a fender. Additionally, the mount helps minimize twisting forces within the stanchions. The fender I ultimately selected for use with this mount measures 22mm in width and is designed to fit snugly into the cradle provided by the mount. Riders may opt for alternative fender styles if desired. For printing purposes, carbon fiber PLA proved effective in supporting the weight of the fender. Printing with full supports yields optimal results. During installation, the mount tends to snap securely into place; however, a slight amount of force may be necessary to secure it firmly due to its precise design tolerances. The clamps are engineered to be 0.5mm smaller than the stanchions, generating tension when the locking bolt is applied.
