Prusaslicer settings: Setting up the “virtual" dual extruder: The “virtual” dual extruder is based on this post:https://forum.prusaprinters.org/forum/prusaslicer/manual-multicolor/To setup the “virtual” dual extruder you have to follow this steps: set the numbers of extruder to two change the settigs for the two extruders. Go to both extruders and set the “lenght” to about 2mm. if you leave it at 4mm you get big blobs when the extruder “changes”. If you use a another printer (not the MK3(S/+)) you may have to experiment a little with this setting. go to the “Custom G-Code” section. Insert the M600 command at “Tool change G-code” Disable the “Wipe tower” in the print settings. For this “workaround” you don`t need one. Setting up the print job: The 3MF-printfiles should already setting up correctly. Check this key settings before printing:the spell counter is for a 0.2mm layer hight designed. Otherwise you have way more filament changes to do. choose the filaments you want to print with. I used extruder 1 for the base colour and extruder 2 for the ambient colour. check if the pause print is set up at the correct hight to insert the magnets. You can see the nessesary hights at the pictures. I used a M600 command to pause the printer. At my Octoprint setup the M601 don't work as it should. If you only want a print pause and you print from SD, the M601 should work for you just fine. Printing: The print starts with the base colour. If you don`t modified the gcode you have a M600 filament change right before the main print starts. Unload the filament, load the colour you want as base colour and resume. At about the middle of the first layer, you get the M600 to change to your flavour colour. The inlay is desiged to have 2 layers at 0.2mm layer hight. After the second layer of the inlay is finished you get the next M600 to load your base colour. If this is done, you can relax till the brake for the magnet comes. :) Used magnets (any Neodym magnets with the size of 50x10x3 should work just fine):https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B08VGDW3GK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1Make shure, you insert the magnets in the right direction. If you don`t do it, you may have to print it again. If you used the M600 command, eject the filament, cut it a little bit at the tip and push it back in the extruder. Then you can resume the print. In the meantime you can print the template in the PDF. Print it in real size. If you scale it to fit the page, it won`t fit properly. If you want, you can paint it, like I do, or you can leave it blank. I also laminated it to use wet erase pens on it. So I can wirte the max spell slot I have at the current level on it. The Projekt is finished. Congratulations! Enjoy your new an luxury spell slot counter. Please fell free to leave a comment, make or rating. I`m highly interested in your thoughts about it. If you wonder about my English: I'm German and I did my best. Please be a little bit lenient with me :) Disclaimer:The gcode files are heavily modified. The extrusion width for the inlays are much thinner then regular to archiev a better quality of the inlay. The rest of the print have regular extrusion width. Please make shure you use it only on a Mk3(s/+). Also your fist layer must be good calibrated. The first filament change (just right befor the main print starts) is disabled, so the main colour must be loaded bevor you run the gcodes. The spell counter on the pictures is printed with this gcodes in Prusament PLA Filament. To pause the prints for the magnets, I used the M600 command because the M601 dosn't work reliable on my Octoprint setup.
