DNA Brace
thingiverse
I crafted this as an X-Z-Axis anti-vibration reinforcement for my FLSUN Prusa i3. The tiny clips snap securely into the 6mm groove on 20X20mm extruded aluminum frame segments. A hole is present for a 4-4.5mm bolt to lock the clips firmly in place. Vibration diminishes significantly on the side with the reinforcement installed, as it did on the other one that was printing initially. (Edit - Both are now installed, and Z-vibes have improved considerably) Indeed, a sturdier reinforcement could be designed, but I aimed to demonstrate my creativity and style. This design is surprisingly rigid, and its primary function is eliminating vibration, not supporting massive loads anyway.
